Dr. Eileen Murray publishes a DVD diagnostic tool and education resource for pediatricians and primary caregivers
Vancouver, B.C. - December 15, 2009 - Dr. Eileen Murray, Adjunct Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science at UBC, has just published a new learning resource. Diagnosing Skin Diseases (DSD) is a multimedia program designed for pediatricians, family physicians, nurses and medical students.
This tool is an easy to use, browser-based multimedia textbook that covers the following disease groups: Acneform Eruptions, Alopecia, Eczematous Rashes, Erythematous Rashes, Papules, Scaly Papules & Plaques, Vesicles & Bullae, and White Macules.
About The Author:
Eileen Murray is a clinical dermatologist, and practiced at the Winnipeg Clinic for 30 years. She received her MD from the University of Manitoba and did her residency in dermatology at McGill University. She was Professor and Section Head of Pediatric Dermatology in the Department of Pediatrics and Child Health at the University of Manitoba and is now Adjunct Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science at the University of British Columbia. She served as an expert consultant for the pharmaceutical industry and participated in clinical research evaluating new therapies for psoriasis and atopic dermatitis.
